These are the rules that are used at all Memory Lake Events. Attached below is also the link to the waiver needed to attend an event at Memory Lake. If this waiver is found to be modified in any way, the one responsible will no longer be allowed back on field, EVER. This will be checked for.
1. SAFETY FIRST!
- This means Eye protection must be worn at all times.
- If you are under 18, FULL SEAL ANSI rated eye protection will be mandatory, over 18 will require ANSI rated safety glasses at the least.
- Eye protection must be ANSI rated, other eye protection, will be tested, by firing at the protection, from point
blank with the highest FPS gun in attendance.
- We are not responsible for any damage done to the eye protection during this test, if your worried weather or not
your protection can handle this test, spend some money on some airsoft, or paint ball eye protection. What's more
important, thirty dollars, or your eyes?
2. DON'T TRY TO TAKE CHARGE
- At the events there will be ONE event host, possibly a co-host.
- This doesn't mean that the host won't listen to your ideas, and use them, it means that you should bring your idea to the
host. DO NOT try to tell everyone what to do yourself.
- This rule will be strictly enforced, no matter who you are, what team your on, or how long you've been playing.
- The only exception is a safety issue, for example, if you see someone without their eye protection on, you should call to them to put it on, do this only once, if they do not comply, don't take matters into your own hands, let the host or designated ref know.
3. MEDs
- Or medium engagement distances, this is where the "safety kill" rule comes into effect.
- MEDs are as follows:
- 350 and under, arms length away.
- 355-400, 15 feet.
- 405-450, 35 feet, short bursts (4 rounds)/semi auto only.
- 455+, Due to nature of field, these velocities are not allowed.
- Unlike the other rules, if these are broken, then it will mean immediate expulsion from the event. Also, you must be of age of 18 or older to use a weapon of velocities of 405 FPS or more.
4. 'SAFETY KILL'
- If you are within 05 feet of a player and have a CLEAR shot, and your gun exceeds the MED for that range you are allowed to call a 'safety kill'.
- If there is a dispute about the distance, or the clearness of the shot, the ref will eject both from live action, this means if your in a re spawn game,
you go back to your respective re spawns. If your in a death match, you're both for the duration of the rest of the match.
- A player who is seen refusing a clear 'safety kill' instance, will be ejected from that game, repeat offenses will be expelled for the day.
5. SAFE ZONE
- At the beginning of the day, a safe zone will be laid out, and marked, this is where you go when your out in a death match, and gear will be stored.
- NO SHOOTING IN, AT, AROUND, OVER, or THROUGH the safe zone, this means in a game or otherwise.
- Once you enter the safe zone your considered out for that game.
6. RESPECT
- Name calling, arguing, or disrespect of any kind, will not be tolerated.
- In game or otherwise, you could be reprimanded, ejected, or expelled depending on the severity.
- Respect is universal, just as a new player must respect the more experienced player on the field, the more experienced player on the field must likewise respect the new, and everything in between.
7. SELF POLICING
- All players are responsible for THEMSELVES.
- This means no shouting matches because you see another player doing something wrong (exception for eye protection), including but not limited to:
"They are not calling their hits"
- If cheating or other problems happen during the game, let the designated ref, or the event host know, they will handle it, don't attempt to handle it yourself.
8. BOUNDARIES
- Boundaries will be clearly laid out, at the beginning of the day, or at the briefing for the game. If you don't quite understand, do not hesitate to ask. At Memory Lake, boundaries will also be marked by red strips of fabric throughout the field.
9. KNIFE KILLS
- A knife kill is a TAP or light touch on the player, this is done to avoid injury or an argument over a 'Safety kill' and offers confidence to the player who can touch another player being unnoticed in their presence. NO PHYSICAL RESTRAINING, AND NO HITTING.
10. BORROWED, AND BORROWING EQUIPMENT
- While lending your equipment is done at your own discretion and risk, we encourage that you handle borrowed equipment with extreme care.
- As a general rule, if you break it, you buy it.
- This will be enforced by expelling those who refuse, basically if you cant afford it, don't borrow it.
11. GAME BRIEFING AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
- During game briefing, and Host/Organizer announcements, there is to be NO TALKING. Unless otherwise called upon by the event host.
- If you want to say something raise your hand, we all know how to do it.
- If you persist in interrupting, or talking during a briefing or announcement, you will not be allowed to play the next game, if it continues, expulsion for the day, or eventually from the field.
12. ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAVIER
- For players 18 and older this is all that is required
- For players under 18 parents must also read the rules, and sign the waiver, if there are any questions from the parents, or players, we are happy to answer them, our contact information is available upon request.
- Age limit for field is 14 years of age and older.
13. ALL RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
- No exceptions, this includes veteran players as well as new, even the event host is subject to these rules.
- If you argue with a final decision you will not be invited back. Ever. If there is a dispute, a calm discussion will be allowed, but a final decision is a final decision.
- These rules are expected to be obeyed by everyone at all times, and are encouraged rules of other 501st forum events.
14. MISCELLANEOUS RULES
- Medic rules, if used, will be explained day of event.
- Magazine limits: One hi-capacity magazine or no more than 1,500 rounds in standards or mid-capacity magazines, there is no ammo limit for support gunners.
- Stay our of the fields and the pond, you are welcome to help yourself to the creek at your own discretion.
- The player capacity total is not to reach over 35 at a normal event at Memory Lake, unless stated otherwise.
